Citizens Will Determine the Name of the Dazzling Project in Samsun
Citizens will determine the name of the project, which is dazzling with its concept and will be the meeting point for everyone from 7 to 70, built by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality in Atakum district.
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality is implementing important projects one by one. The Metropolitan Municipality is also increasing the number of areas where citizens come together and spend time, which will contribute to the social life in the city. While the construction of the project, which will be the meeting point for everyone from 5 to 727, built on an area of 7 thousand 70 square meters in Atakum district, a 65 percent physical realization rate has been reached. Citizens are eagerly waiting for the completion of the project, which includes a 3-storey library, a 3-storey exhibition hall, a 2-storey cafe restaurant and a masjid.
ANNOUNCEMENT WAS MADE VIA SOCIAL MEDIA
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality decided that citizens would determine the name of the project. Citizens’ name suggestions were received in the study initiated on social media. It was stated that the name with the most suggestions will be given to the project.
‘WE ARE BRINGING A GREAT WORK TO SAMSUN’
Stating that they will offer a friendly and warm environment to book lovers with the completion of the project, Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “We are bringing a wonderful work to Samsun. We are implementing a project that will contribute to the social and cultural life of our city. It is a very important project where everyone from 7 to 70 will feel very happy, work and stay here for a long time. The left block will be a place where students study more. There will be exhibition, symposium and conference halls in the middle block. The other block will be the library. Our citizens will determine the name of this project. We collected suggestions from our citizens about the name from social media. The name will be determined in line with the suggestions. “Once it becomes clear, we will share the name with the public,” he said.
CITIZENS ARE EXCITINGLY WAITING
A citizen named Emine Uslu, who said that she is eagerly waiting for the completion of the project, said: “It is a good project for students and those who love reading. “It will suit Atakum beach,” he said. Sadettin Ulusoy, one of the citizens, said, “It is a nice project. “There was a need for such a place on the beach,” he said. A citizen named Hüseyin Türkmerkez said, “This place will be more beautiful in its current state. It is a necessary project with its cafe, library and masjid. “We would like to thank those who contributed to a beautiful project where we can spend quality time,” he said.
