Young People of Haliliye Visited HAVELSAN and TAI
Young people visited HAVELSAN and TUSAŞ during the trip organized by Haliliye Municipality to Ankara. Young people, who had the chance to examine studies in the fields of software, aviation, space science and engineering here, talked about the excitement they experienced and were introduced to science and technology.
Young people were taken to Ankara with the science and technology trip organized by Haliliye District Directorate of National Education and Haliliye District Governorship and supported by Haliliye Municipality. 40 students visited the Aeronautical Electronics Industry (HAVELSAN) and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) Directorate during the trip, which is organized every year and aims to instill national values in young people. Young people who had the chance to examine and see the work in the fields of software, aviation, space science and engineering at HAVELSAN and TUSAŞ had an unforgettable experience. Young people, who have technical knowledge in the fields of science, technology and software, stated that they shaped their dreams for the future at the conference held at HAVELSAN and TUSAŞ before the trip.
Evaluating the technical and cultural trip in which they were intertwined with science, the students said that they saw the work done closely and that they wanted to improve themselves in the fields of engineering and software with the knowledge they acquired. Young people made the following statements:
“This trip enabled us to get to know our country’s work more closely and to gain an idea of how close things that seem impossible are actually to us. The designs we saw during the trip, especially the propeller designs of the submarines we saw at HAVELSAN, gave us ideas to use in the design of our underwater areas during the year. “I hope that such trips will continue and provide us with ideas.”
“We visited HAVELSAN, TUSAŞ, Anıtkabir and the National Library. Before coming here, I was interested in engineering, but I was also interested in other professions. After this trip, I preferred to focus more on computer engineering.”
After the tour to HAVELSAN and TUSAŞ, the students visited the Presidential National Library and Anıtkabir.
