Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya announced that 8 ton 38 kilograms of drugs were seized and 1 suspects were caught in the ‘NARKOGÜÇ-719’ operation held in 36 provinces.
An operation was carried out in 8 provinces, namely Istanbul, Diyarbakır, Hakkari, Zonguldak, Edirne, Bursa, Tekirdağ and Osmaniye, against “Poison Dealers” who manufacture and sell drugs.
- In the operation carried out by the Operations and Investigation Bureau of the Istanbul Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch Directorate in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul; 33 kg of crystal methamphetamine, 116 kg of liquid methamphetamine, 2 sensitive scales and materials used in drug production were seized. 1 foreign poison dealer was caught.
- In the operation carried out by Diyarbakır Provincial Gendarmerie Command; 1 ton 480 kg of marijuana and 1700 cannabis roots were seized. 1 poison dealer was caught.
- In the operation carried out by Hakkari Provincial Gendarmerie Command; 34 kg of methamphetamine and various amounts of morphine were seized. 1 poison dealer was caught.
- In the operation carried out by Zonguldak Provincial Gendarmerie Command; Various amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, bonzai and synthetic pills were seized. 20 poison dealers were caught.
- In the operation carried out by Edirne Provincial Police Department; 9 kg of skunk was seized.
- In the operation carried out by Bursa Provincial Police Department’s Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch Directorate; 1 kg 300 grams of Bonzai was seized.
- In the operation carried out by Tekirdağ Provincial Gendarmerie Command; Various amounts of drugs were seized. 11 poison dealers were caught.
- In the operation carried out by Osmaniye Provincial Police Department; 46 kg, 200 g of skunk and 900 g of powdered marijuana were seized. 2 poison dealers were caught.
