Music Festival Begins in Antalya
The International Antalya Piano Festival, one of the most important art events of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, held for the 23rd time this year, will be held between 9-22 December.
The highly anticipated music festival; It will once again bring together many stars from Turkey and the world in classical music, jazz and flamenco with music lovers in Antalya. This year, the festival will spread to districts as well.
The International Antalya Piano Festival, a member of the European Festivals Association (EFA), which has contributed to Antalya’s ‘International Art City’ identity for 23 years, will be held between 9-22 December 2023 this year. The festival, which will be held for the 23rd time and hosted by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, is preparing to bring together many artists from Turkey and the world with music lovers.
This year, within the scope of city events at the festival, Aurelien Froissart and Il Grande Piano will contribute to the festival’s integration with the public. Within the scope of the festival, Fahir Atakoğlu & Selda Bağcan accompanied by Antalya State Symphony Orchestra (ADSO), Anjelika Akbar, Queenz of Piano, Dorantes, Candan Erçetin & ADSO, Selin Şekeranber and Yudum Çetiner – Duo Blanc & Noir, Havasi, Can Saraç, Igudesman & Joo and Gülsin Onay will take the stage.

CITY EVENTS ARE AMAZING
This year, the festival excitement will start with city events. City events; Having more than 1 million followers on social media with his piano videos, he set out to make classical music accessible to the public, and with his first concert in Antalya, where the audience can participate interactively, he will be hosting the talented young generation at the Clock Tower on 2 December and at the Glass Pyramid on 3 December. It will start with pianist Aurelien Froissart. Il Grande Piano, whose videos have been watched millions of times and reached thousands of people all over the world with the show they perform with a midi keyboard placed on the ground and played with the feet, will meet the public with the concerts they will give in the Clock Tower on December 9th and in Alanya on December 10th.
OPENING CONCERT WITH ATAKOĞLU AND BAĞCAN
The festival will witness a parade of stars between 9-22 December 2023; The opening concert will be performed by composer and pianist Fahir Atakoğlu, who is known worldwide as a classical music performer and composer, accompanied by Antalya State Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by Selda Bağcan, who has her name written in The Times’ ‘List of Living Legendary and Historical Female Singers in World Music’ as the ‘Legendary Anatolian Singer’. It will meet the audience at Cam Pyramid in December.
The gala concert of composer, pianist and writer Anjelika Akbar’s album ‘AHENK 432’, which has been available on all digital platforms in recent weeks, will take place at AKM on December 23, as part of the 11rd International Antalya Piano Festival.
Queenz of Piano, who show that it is possible to have a lot of fun at a classical concert with their performance where they wander the boundaries between classical and pop music accompanied by two grand pianos, will open the doors of the world of musical fusion with the piano, which is considered a very extraordinary instrument in Flamenco, at AKM on December 13th. Aralayan Dorantes will meet the audience in Antalya with his ‘Sur Sinfonico’ project at AKM on 15 December and Manavgat Municipality Atatürk Cultural Center on 16 December.
ATATÜRK’S FAVORITE SONGS BY CANDAN ERÇETİN
The powerful voice of Turkish music, Candan Erçetin, will meet music lovers at the Cam Piramit on December 16 with the Concert of Atatürk’s Favorite Songs, accompanied by the Antalya State Symphony Orchestra, within the scope of the festival.
Selin Şekeranber and Yudum Çetiner’s Duo Blanc & Noir will be at AKM with the ‘Imagine’ concert on December 17th. Havasi, who is a piano virtuoso and not only a pianist but also the composer of music that touches the hearts of the audience and enchants the ears, will be on December 19th. They will add color to the festival with their performances at the Glass Pyramid.
16-year-old young talent Can Saraç, who won the Michelangeli Award at the Piano Academy Eppan competition held in Italy, will meet the audience at AKM on December 20, and Igudesman & Joo, who have become stars on the internet and internationally with their musical success, will meet the audience at AKM on December 21.
CLOSING CONCERT FROM GÜLSİN ONAY!
At the close of the festival, Gülsin Onay will meet the audience on the AKM stage on December 22 with a concert where Erkin Onay will be a guest. Gülsin Onay will give a short recital and give a talk at Aksu Science High School on December 21.
