Jet Drone ALAZ, an electric fan motor (EDF) driven fixed wing UAV with vertical take-off and horizontal flight capability, developed within Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Technology Transfer Office (TTO), was organized by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) with 38 teams from 93 universities. The Jet Drone Project, which is under construction, was presented to investors at the TUSAŞ stand at the Take Off Summit held in Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Hall.

SELÇUK BAYRAKTAR VISITED THE STAND

TAI’s stand, where the UAV Project Jet Drone ALAZ is located, was visited by important names. A short meeting was held with the Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, who attended the summit. Visiting the stand, BAYKAR Board of Directors and T3 Foundation Board of Trustees Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar expressed his opinions about Jet Drone ALAZ and expressed his satisfaction with the work.

While information about the Jet Drone Project was presented to important figures from the Presidency of Defense Industries and Turkish Airlines General Directorate who visited the stand; During the meetings, views on the future predictions of the project were exchanged. It was stated that discussions were held with ASELSAN at the summit and that ASELSAN could provide the support that may be needed in the Jet Drone’s battery and avionics systems.

“WE WILL DEVELOP NEW PROTOTYPE PRODUCTS”

Stating his views after the summit, IGU TTO Director Yahya Kemal Kıran said, “Our first goal is to produce the technology demonstration of Jet Drone ALAZ. “In addition, we will continue to work on other projects within IGU TTO in the coming periods and develop new prototype products,” he said.
