Gr8 Choice Co. Gears Well to Support Saudi Vision 2030

A prominent Saudi firm, Gr8 Choice Construction Company, has geared itself well to implement construction and contracting projects of all types and sizes and to work to support the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030, a highly ambitious long-term plan launched by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, prime minister of Saudi Arabia. The new strategies will successfully position the Great Choice Company in the local Saudi market.

Nayef Al-Askar and Ibrahim Al-Askar, the two entrepreneurs who founded the Gr8 Choice Construction Company, disclosed this recently in a joint interview. They said that “the company has taken upon itself to achieve the goal of continuous growth and to be an element of added value in the Saudi macro-economy.” “Our wise government has worked hard and spent several more decades to develop the country and the construction sector,” said Nayef Al-Askar, referring to the construction sector.

Nayef said that the construction sector has received ample support to achieve high-quality infrastructure construction throughout the country. To this end, it is important to note that the Saudi Arabia construction market size is estimated at $66.75 billion in 2023 and is expected to reach $86.70 billion by 2028, growing at a CAGR of 5.37 percent during the forecast period from 2023 to 2028.

Spelling out the salient features and high technology used by the company, Nayef said that “the Gr8 Choice has pursued since its inception a policy to align its mandate with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 to build this great country and to comply with the regulatory requirements”. He pointed out that the Saudi market is “the largest market in the Middle East region from a financial and technical point of view.”

“Therefore, Gr8 Choice is exerting efforts to grab its share of projects in the Saudi market,” said Nayef, while referring to the company’s completed projects. He pointed out the company worked in the past and implemented several projects, including approximately 78,000 square meters for spaces, 1,603,000 square meters for building areas, 114 housing units, and 28 commercial units.

Asked about the major social or community initiatives or welfare schemes supported by Gr8 Choice as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), he said that “there is no doubt that the corporate social responsibility is one of the cultural and ethical pillars of the company.” “We have adopted a community initiative to restore dilapidated and old mosques and restore these mosques for the benefit of all Muslims,” he explained.

The company, he said, is currently working on this mosque initiative in the city of Riyadh. “We will expand the initiative in the near future to cover all cities and villages of the Kingdom,” said Nayef, while renewing his company’s commitment to invest in activities supporting contracting and construction. These are, for example, but not limited to the iron, wood, and concrete industries, engineering design, and interior design, he added.

Nayef further pointed out that the Gr8 Choice implements its “strategy through acquisitions and establishments.” He said that Saudi Arabia’s construction industry continues to lead the MENA region despite macroeconomic conditions impacting the sector globally. The Kingdom witnessed the highest value of project awards in 2022, demonstrating its commitment to driving economic diversification and transforming the country in line with its Vision 2030.

To a question about his advice to be given to the next Saudi generation of professionals aspiring to become construction leaders, he said that “the most important advice I would like to give to the next generation in the field of construction and contracting is to arm yourselves with professional and active teams.” He said that the construction industry demands skilled workers, excellent teamwork, innovative technology, and time management.
